hellfire:
Sorry for the delay but with no machine, its a tough life:

I am mainly interested in testing out VR which is probably what I will go other than unreal ;p

Can you kindly confirm if HP omen is a good buy without any heating issues. I am talking about this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D961VDH

You think it will last 5 years? ;) My other option was https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G4GHBJV

Between MSI and HP which one would you vote? :) My girl lent me some cash to upgrade for Christmas :D

Thanks a lot SUP. I intend to buy a desktop after this laptop since next year maybe my business will see some good cashflow? ;) Am happy for you about your machines lasting so long.

2018 has been a tight year for me lol. Lot of investment and no return yet (but its normal during 1st year). Lets hope this new machine will last me a LONG time with the 1060 card ;)

Cheers and a quick reply can help since I order tonight I think ;)

Killer_XTREME!!!:
Go for msi, I have the same variant GP62 series with 1050ti... But 5 years no chance 1060 can survive for 5 years hellfire and its the entry level card for virtual reality if thats what u want too. Imo go fr a gtx1080 laptop if u wanna survive 5 years simple.

hellfire:
The MSI has shipping issues :( Looks like HP omen is my way out. Any clue about it Killer? I guess I will have to wait for 1080 lol. U should check next  series which is already out ;) Please comment on HP omen (any known issues etc).

I am trying to see if I find another seller but if not then Omen? Tough time choosing lol. Thanks Killer :)

Killer_XTREME!!!:
HP is known for heating problems in laptops... It doesn't have something like a cooler booster technology as in msi laptops.
Don't go for HP gaming laptop that's all I can say

Krellsan:
in any case, do not take HP. they have problems with overheating, they have problems with the work of two video cards (they do not see the discrete under any drivers and continue to use the integrated), they have a bunch of pre-installed software and that soft climb to update itself without asking any permission of the user. and I have not talked about the suddenly dying batteries, and the self-unscrewing chipset
