I find turning off the wifi helps, although the missus generally complains if she is still awake  >:D
Even with fast fibre, I was getting packet loss the other week, but then there are about 7 wireless devices on my network (phones, tv, laptop, printer, ipad thingies).

Thank God I play on a mint install without tweaks or binds on a decade old laptop, no need to worry about things like this. It runs like crap no matter what.. :P

For some reason, I think it forces my intel gpu (im not 100% sure) instead of nvidia and even the mouse in the main menu of UT is super laggy. I have forced nvidia for ut in nvidia control panel but still it doensnt work.
