Each part costs more than my whole PC

My only suggestion is to swap the HDD for the cheapest 2-4TB SSD and drop the 500GB one

Hey Holes :)  Yeah been saving for a couple of years now. With the HDs, the plan is to run the OS and installs on 1, 2 is a sync drive for google drive and then file archives on the 4TB. The SSDs get scary expensive above 1tB but will take a look - cheers :)

I'd say toss the Seagate and get a HGST. HGST has a way lower failure rate
