Molgan[ApA]:
Hello. Ever since I picked up gaming again I have played and mapped on a 12 yo Fujiutsu laptop with a cracked screen and an old mouse that works 75% of the time. Anyway, bought a nut cracking gaming rig "for my son" this christmas and wanted to try UT2004 on it. But the crap aint got a DVD-reader! Do I need to get an external reader or is there some magic way to use the cd-key to rip the game down online?

kops:
You should be able to find an ISO somewhere online which you can mount with something like https://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/.  Alternatively it's cheap to repurchase on Steam.

Miauz55555:
You actually don't need an iso or something. You can just move all files somewhere else. With a legit key. It will either ask you for a key when you start up the game the first time, or you can change it in the registry when you accidentally fond a version with chared keys. Like when you buy it on gog you need to write there support to get an online-key from them, stupid but that's there buisness.

Also lucky boy https://de.gamersgate.com/DD-UNREAL-DEAL-PACK/unreal-deal-pack it's in sale, or the whole collection is, for 3€ atm for the next 1 day and 23 hours. So you will get a few legit keys and an online installer. =D

Molgan[ApA]:
Thanks. Money is not the issue, just feel reluctant to buy the game a third time. And I refuse Steam. Will try your suggestions, would have been nice to just slip that DVD in and start gaming but guess I need to put some more effort in. =)

Get the game real cheap from gog.com only 1,69 euro drm free, and u can use your excisted cd-key, or get new one with the purchase.
