Unfortunately it is not just this one :(
I remember it was a common issue back in the day, where this file gave errors for people. However it was easy to fix because of so many good file directories still available i.e. http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1430265. However those links are now dead so cannot find the right version of this file.

I guess if I can find someone that can play the demo, and get their announcerclassic file then I can replace it on my machine and it should work!

Yes. Only one of them seems to work. I can hear the AnnouncerClassic alright if I select it under Audio, just strange why the game don't recognize it on the demos.

Would it make sense to upload the file here @piggy? The game isn't getting younger and more and more sites disappear, maybe others in the community might need it in the future.
