Apps shuts down everything non-essential to gaming like updaters, windows clock etc.  Defrags ram and also games for more speed.

Belongs better in Technology Area,  since about a program that boost your system, not the site. Link Haven is for useful sites, eg some free e-mail site.

I think it's better disable all updates anyway, and manually update.

Tip for extra boost: disable visual styles and use Window Classic theme.

I usually do that, then end the process of explorer.exe.
