That would be great. I'm missing that perk level-up system since I have begun playing this game - it holds the motivation for a long time I think.

There already are stats on server (press F3 or F2 or something). Isn't that enough?
Alternatively, I could code a site that would show player's stats, with achievements and stuff. But that would be a quite big project which I don't have time for right now...

I see what you mean about those perks. It's up to the coders if they have time as well, lol - we're all learning how this thing works. Some things are possible but take a long time - other things too easy. Guessing, new perks are probably only sub code and easily modified -I hope- from old perks.
Gab talked to me on xfire about double knives like machetes for a fast berserker - probably can't carry much else and I like the idea. Although after I realized "fast" would be a big problem for storymode - similar to l4dead idea: achieve objectives and revive dead players - so a fast berserker could zoom across a map, which would be kinda 'break' the game.
So probably in one map a player can only choose 1 perk for that map - a lot of thinking needed by players to choose the right perk so everyone can survive :o Perks to encourage players to choose other than berserker are good, like 'revival from dead' medic. Also mappers would have to think hard about their choice of monsters, somehow to slow berserkers from reaching respawn/objectives, also encouraging players to choose other perks, so berserkers don't always have an advantage.
It gets complicated xd.

i wouldn't like a game like l4d at all, the fun of this game is that the zombs don't die with 1/2 shots.
i see what you mean with a fast berserker, though i think that as long as the other perks get things like turrets and heavy snipers, a fast berserker can't be overpowered. things like clots that hold you will be a big concern, also an FP will kill you in 1 hit(2 with armor) and no berserker will be able to take that down(maybe get an FP to go berserk if a fast berserker he targets tries to run away )
i'm completely with the 1 perk per map idea, though a more expanded lobby would be good with it(discussions on who takes what, and of course seeing what other players choose)
though if i had to choose, i would first make the weapons for survival come out before launching story mode+perks(so i don't have to wait any longer for upgrade XD. and the amount of time it deserves will be given to story mode+perks)
