The ONSBP texture error was caused by missing UT2004 Megapack. Just saying in case someone google's this thread...

That tutorial was made in the miasma v1 days, so it's not up to date - don't take that too seriously.

@ Raj and his low framerate:

Install the game under Linux: I have higher framerates and less lags here - and I play it on maximum details, FullHD and FOV 110.
Seems like openGL is faster than DirectX :P
