yep, we definitely need a flame thread :D
I got the autoturret working. It tracks me around the map and shoots shock rifle ammo. Also an npc character is working. atm it's a udk bot, but I will make some civilians.
Also I have the reload and aim partially working.

It's about time! But seriously, AWESOME. I just can't wait to see the whole thing. Also, can you post some pictures of your progress? Thanks.

we're friends again are we :P
vids because stills won't show a lot you haven't seen, but utube upload speeds suck. I'll be trying Russian utube and see how it goes.
Edit: russian utube thought 716,123 or 30secs vid (under a frigging meg) was over 2GB so can't upload there... back to uVerySlowUploadTube... Na, screw it, 99mins to upload 30 seconds vid. Sorry! You'll have to use your imagination until I find a better vid host.

I haven't tried it yet, but you could try modifying your xfire_games.ini (located in %appdata%), search for UT3, change the name/path of the .exe and maybe delete a few disturbing lines.
If all goes well, xfire will think you are playing UT3 instead UDK and you will be able to record and upload movies there.

:drunk: To Necro,
Actually you can upload any kinds of video to X-Fire SO LONG AS YOU CONVERT THE FILE TO *.AVI. Then you go to your C:\Program Data\xfire\videos folder and upload (copy) it there. Take a picture (screenshot) of your map or whatever and RESIZE it to 320x240 in *.PNG format and copy it to the same folder, namely, C:\Program Data\xfire\videos. Then RUN your X-Fire and go to your VIDEO section, SOURCE VIDEO. Right click and UPLOAD VIDEO.
