Let me finish my master thesis and I will think about Germany ...

Ty Grim, must be bufty, I can't think of any other players who play on the servers up here? Helping me deduce who it is :)

Cool man, I've been down to Glasgow quite a few times for gigs. Haven't been to Edinburgh yet (other than the train station). Haha now your talking ;)

Likewise if you or anyone else is in Morayshire or near let me know :)

*Sorry for partially hijacking your thread Flenser, was just trying to find out something which I've forgotten :(

AGAIN!!!  It really must be really nice in Nice.  Mrs Fandango & I used to visit the same Greek island a few times each year, so I get it :)

France & Germany don't feature highly on my list of holiday destinations and apart from driving through France or brief stop-overs in Dusseldorf & Frankfurt, I've only spent time in Berlin.  This was before David Hasselhoff brought the wall down and united East & West.
I fancy visiting Colditz Castle at some point. It's a bit of a trek from Heidelberg but worth it if you're a history buff.

I also plan on visiting Paris at some point in the next few years to take in shows at The Lido, Folies Bergère & The Moulin Rouge but will probably do these over a few weekends rather than take a block of holidays to cover it.

@Stealer.  A few years ago I took the out-laws on the Gondola at the Nevis Range, great scenic views and of the eejits throwing themselves down the mountain on mtb's.  Also very close, is the Commando monument at Spean Bridge and the Glenfinnan Viaduct (made famous by Harry Potter).  The Jacobite steam train (aka Hogwarts Express) runs from Fort William across the viaduct.  This is another journey I plan on taking, although it can be a bit of struggle to buy tickets as these are usually snapped up by American and Japanese tourists :)
I'm in the central belt, but happy to meet up for a coffee & cake, or a shmoke and a pancake if you're ever down this way :)

Nice, I fancy visiting Germany might check it out, not sure what our plans are yet. Would be cool/trippy, only met a couple of other UT players so far :) (that I've gamed with).

Speaking of which I'm off to Nevis Range (North Scotland) somewhere between 20th - 24th of this month. Was it Bufty or Grim that resides in Fort William (near there), whoever it was would be cool to go for cake and coffee with me and missus Stealer :)

The Lounge / Flenser's Fall trip — Nice (of course) and Heidelberg!
« Last post by Flenser on June 02, 2025, 22:24 »
Mrs. Flenser and I will be in Nice, France at the end of October and the beginning of November, and then in Heidelberg, Germany in mid-November.

As always, we'd love to meet up, say hi, have a coffee, and hang out with our UT friends. If you're interested and going to be in the right area at the right time, hit me up on Discord or reply here!

Wish those would go to Freon sometimes and see if and how they score over there.
I know I don't stand a chance, I tried and failed  :))

You should try again mate. It's not all about the aim and kills - being sneaky, staying alive and thawing can literally turn the match around. The top scorers on the freon server are the best at aim/strategy not necessarily both. Check piglets freon guide it does help, and especially knowing the maps - makes it very hard to find your frozen teamies if you don't.
I fail a lot but sometimes get kills on the top players - more through luck than anything else. Although I'm best at killing walls and myself in the process  :D

Welcome freiwald, it's always good to have more people on board - especially the 2k4 veterans who I wish would all come back to rebuild this great community  :P  I'm a grumpy one too ;)
