Ut2004 Map files

Does anyone remember which directory the map files are temporarily installed? Or is there a google/public drive to get the maps?

It's in cache, you can use UTCacheExtractor to...extract them(they're just renamed and moved to UT2004\Maps)

ut2004/cache. I just delete the line from cache.ini and just rename them and move to the maps directory.

If you can't see the map in the offline game when you start it, check the ut2004/system/ut2004.log file and it will have an error in there saying what other thing is missing. That will also be in cache. It may be a texture/static mesh or some other file.

Thanks Holy and Piglet.
Just wanted to practise against some bots on some maps we play regularly.

I made my own cache extractor for UT'99 and UT-2004. In Java. Wanted to add screenshot processing, but didnt got to it.
Please, feel free to use.

There are maybe some problems if the game is on system drive, the program should show instruction how to manage this problem.

I've found https://www.mapraider.com/maps/search has quite a few of the maps I was looking for. It seemed a slightly shorter way of doing things. Thanks anyway Caracal  O:-)
