KF-Dead?
« on: February 27, 2014, 18:24 »
Hi

I downloaded KF-mod months ago , I don't see anyone online :(
Is it useless to keep now?
No one plays in , what about changing the server to something else?

Is it DEAD?

R.I.P KF :(

                                                             PEACE ^_^

pfft

That's why I clicked this as well. But yeah, I haven't seen more than two people in the server in the past month.

Gotta use Twitter and other sites to grab new players.
Steam is a good hunting ground, as people buy it with it.
Tracker sites/apps like raptr and Overwolf also provide an opportunity to reach more players.
Show an active face to the public via the Epic forums etc.

I keep seeing new KF addons appear on ModDB regularly. These could be reviewed and posted to youtube as regular updates.
Is there a Miasma Twitch channel ?

Missed KF mod much, so decided I go look at miasma site again. Feeling bad now as I realize very few people still playing it, if not none.

Probably the KF mod could be revived if people are keen enough, and Raj is willing.  From my pov a few donations may encourage Raj, or not, depends on him.  He does a lot of work for this site and the UT game already.

You should realize it takes money, time and cooperation.  The money isn't about getting rich - that's what you do for big game companies.  Here it's a small token that someone cares.  Also a KF specific server costs money and organization.  If you really want it - rather than random people turning up with good memories, then do something.

edit: this isn't a personal attack on anyone!! - it's also to myself personally that if I want something doing, get on with it :)

I could make the switch back right now, it's that easy, but who's gonna play? UT lacks players as is, the odds of anyone new finding KFMod are slim.

In order for it to pay off, the very few players that KF mod stilll has should attend regularly, not play once and then forget about it for years.

It's true, having KF back would be great. But it's also true that I'd probably only play once or twice and then move on to something else again. To me it's fun once in a while, but I could never play it continuously or regularly :D

Good times, though. Good times.

Hm, we truly had good times with KF... I'd play it, if there were regular sessions. Sadly, many of the veterans aren't here anymore so...

KF was fun, Raj introduced me to it I only got to play it a handful of times though :(

Would def be cool If there are still some players who enjoyed the kf mod, and we could all schedule a time to come on and play it, I would def. be down for that.

True words. I think that concerns specially me.

Same here.

However, I think now it's time to say hello again. Hello to all those who are still active in this community!

I have to confess, nothing will be as it was years ago, I cannot take as much time as years ago, but I think I will take a look in here more often.

Just an idea: What about playing KFMod coming up weekend? Maybe saturday in the evening (UTC).

It's great to see there are still some people who have not forgotten this game.
