i just wanted to make this thread so we can maybe make fun of annoying players who chat more and play less
i would like to start with
dr house , he constantly speaks about me spawnkilling and he doesnt have anything other then that to say about me
and many more other players he constantly rants about , i will post screenshots now if he says anything to me or anyone else in the future so we can all have a good laugh
or anyother player for that matter

The players that annoy me are the spawnkillers in nodes, base campers and the ones who attack the nodes in the beginning of Torlan, for me it's a weak and easy strategy to win the match. No respect for them.

the raptor attacking the opposing team's corner node linkers at beginning of Torlan is a good strategy, and spawnkilling comes with the territory of being at that node while the middle one is up for grabs to be there to attack it if your team links it up. someone should legit be going for that node to be ready, it's not just being a dick. i always laugh at people who complain at me for attacking them at that situation. okay then, next time i'll just stay in the middle and we'll just battle at middle node all day because you cry when i go on offense and attack you :))
if it's another locked node, okay I get it, but there's no right to complain at being attacked at a node that can possibly unlocked in seconds. it's what you're supposed to do.
FaceClassic on the other hand I will occasionally spawnkill just for fun, but mostly go back there to weaken tank shield and knock off manta/raptor. and I don't do it nonstop constantly like it's the goal like Spike O:-)
Hey Defty, chill. I think my context was misunderstood. Sorry.
I know it is a strategy but if the teams are unbalanced it's really easy to win doing that (attacking the first node). And, in the last one I meant the players that constantly do that, even if their 5/1 node is being attacked when 3 is up or in the locked ones (2/4).
That's for Torlan, in FaceClassic I don't have any complain. :-X
it's all good. my post wasn't to you specifically as i see people complain about that in game a lot on that node. a couple weeks ago i was the only one at that node and destroyed it when it was available then the equalizer switched me to the other team and one guy starting whining saying i was "useless" and "did nothing but spawnkill" :D :))
Complaints about teammates.
ONS Torlan
- Most players don't understand that nodes are highest priority (especially at start). They get to the corner node, meet some enemy raptor or bender and start fighting instead of linking node. Often don't even step on it.
VCTF Face
- Flag is taken, but teammates don't look up to shoot raptor that makes taxi over their head.
- Flag is taken, enemy is on top, team is running in base but noone goes up. Take rocket, preload - and go into that portal!
- Those drivers that take bender with you and get it killed: 1) just ride a bit to get in fire and go away 2) make it fall >:( 3) get you to enemy's base and go away instead of driving inside to effectively use benders firepower.
- Tank in base.
- Sabbers, teamkillers. :(

Something a bit irrelevant to add here would be the quitters, winjoiners and trolls but they're not that important.

I find spawnkilling to be a necessary evil when you have the node shield half-down just to make keep people from linking it back up when you might have access to it again in 3 seconds. So it can be a legit tactic. And again, you are not forced to spawn at that node. If you keep letting it spawn you there when there are attackers that's on you.
Don't forget about spawn-protection - you have time to get weapons. But if you start fire spawn-protection is over. So don't fire after you respawn, look around first. By the way, I often use shield against spawnkillers - it can kill manta that is trying to run you over.

annoying players is a good theme:
soviet onion sabbed in ctf a whole game, he/she hold the flag back and camped only with it... i flew (same team) 4 minutes in front of him and he only tried to teamkill me...
others are just campin` all the time, game long.... like krell: told him its against rules to camp in base until his team has no majority of nodes, answer was just "f.... you" not very nice and against rules to, many campers these days.... why admins dont do anything against it?

Tonight Olo(HU) sabbed a whole match. He teamkilled, hold vehicles, crushed nearly all team vehicles willfull. Sadly no admin was online... Until he got vote kicked match was over. Dont know why he did this.

I haven't said that there's no way to destroy them, because there are many ways to do so - that's not the point.
If I remember well, to hit the target with AVRIL you still have to aim with crosshair on it, so still it's more effort than dropping this cr*p and waiting for free frags.

Well, they are better, because they can attack multiple targets at once. As I mentioned above, AVRIL is semi-auto targeting - if you stop aiming or switch to other weapon its rockets wont hit the target. Also AVRIL works that way only on vehicles, meanwhile spiders auto-target everything.

I have no idea why some players complain about other weapons (maybe because their lack of skills to use them?), but I complain about spiders, because they work completely different from other weapons avaliable in game.

That could be a valid point, but... In order to blow up grenades or deemer projectile you either have to destroy them, kill its user or let player to trigger explosion manually. Grenades don't blow up on their own.
Spiders are cool... in their own way. I just think that they have a negative impact on multiplayer game experience for the reasons I've mentioned in earlier posts. They may be useful in defence, but.. This is what teammates are for, right?
I understand that administration may not do anything about it, so at least I'll try to convince players to use less spiders or even abandon them totally. The game becomes a lot harder, but also more satisfying and enjoyable.

By the way, there were sometimes when spiders were off. CTF ended much faster. I think it's a good idea to have 1 day in a week without spiders.

Sorry but grenades do explode allone if you die..... but I understand all your points and it would maybe really cool to have one or two days in week off spiders.... maybe raj thinks so too?

I have seen how other players take the flag without any problem. Spiders may be a real headache, but they put a little more difficulty into the game. Sometimes I spec some miasma members and they take the flag with or without spiders inside the base. They take strategies to "clean the base" and while they are taking the flag they use the spiders to prevent the entry of the opposing team. I've noticed that without mines the game seems to get laggier. I guess that's what happens when people actually need to move their legs a little to get some kills and the level isn't really meant for 20+ players and vehicles. ;D

New pet hate: Dr.Cox, spawn killing all game every game on Torlan at locked nodes. I'm not against a little opposition distraction from time to time when things are stale-mated, but all game every game? Nono.
Oh yes, that and MasterOfPuppets leaving himself connected while wandering off... leaving the other players on the server to have a numbers-unbalanced game.
Dr.Cox changes style from time to time. He usually camped in base (in CTF and ONS) and used turret. Then he played mostly on raptor in Torlan, now he changed his tactics in CTF and ONS again. He is learning this way, I think he will soon learn to combine different skills and become dangerous player.
AVI, I never win join and I never play to hurt my team (knowingly) You on the other hand do. There is no sense in you trying to pervert this into you being the victim because other players saw you and have grudge against you too! So that's that.
DcNR was playing a couple of time last week now, and he's been behaving... but god knows he will do something bad when he thinks no one is watching again... this is his tactic.

for me, @@tirofijo!! is the most anoying player, if he kills me it's like his birthday, he becomes sooo happy. but it's actually a confirmation that he see me as a super pro player.

Yes I know. I just wanted to say that it doesn't matter how others see you, or what you think they think about you. It was just food for thought, so you do not care too much about it. Pure waste of energy. O:-)
Players who are able to run and drive around the arena picking up and dropping flags after the game has ended.
Players who are able to commit suicide in vehicles a split second before being blasted into oblivion.
Players who call everyone else nabs.
Players who refer to themselves in the 3rd person.
Other gripes:
Unable to exit a vehicle when it's being shot at.
Being penalised by the auto-balancer. Recently I had 2 x suicides against my name due to a 2 x forced switches in the same match.
Too short a re-spawn time. Often I'm still running, or in fight mode when I respawn. An increase of a second or two in the respawn timer would allow us to regroup and gather our thoughts.
It's annoying when the same maps are overplayed over, over, over and over again... :( :( :( usually by the same players. I know, maps are overplayed because they're well made but some new players might lose all the interest because basically not much choice.
There is a system of not allowing the same map to be played until n other maps have been played... you can't repeat a map until 12 maps have been played.
Every 13th map should now be one of the even less played maps.

Annoying: when your gunner jumps out of the tank and get the flag so you lose the tank.
Isn't that the gunner's job (in a normal tank)? The driver has the main gun to clear a path for them.
In the goop tank it's the driver that gets out and the 2nd seat that stays in to cover the area in goop.

That is what I mean, in The Edge with "the badger" the driver gets the flag but no, not with this player...
For others who want to comment, I like to listen to constructive criticism, and yes I know dodge and wall jumps are my biggest frustrations...
