6÷2(1+2) = ?
Is it 1 or 9? Or maybe something else? lol
I've seen this question on various forums, and surprisingly like half of the people answer it wrong.
What do you think?
:-[ To MiA Raj,
This reqiures my utmost mathematical acumen! After much deliberation and long, hard contemplation, I came up to the conclusion that the answer is.....
It's 9 :D, Google ftw

*looks at it for a couple of seconds.... thinks.... thinks more.... compares to other stuff like this*
7 1
my mathematical skill says 7
rethinks this.... rethinks again...
no wait... then it wouldn't be 7 but 1 stupid maths....

Nope (6 ÷ 2) * (1 + 2) = 9 Note the * between them.

i still think it's one...
yeah its 1! >:(
How the fuck can it be 9 XD first you do the (1+2) and its 3 then you 2x3 = 6 then you 6÷6 is 1 xD wtf ?
I think you have to use PEDMAS. Not Bedmas, or whatever. Think about it.
6/2(1+2)
6/2(3)
3(3)
=9
You don't do 2(3) first. Even with BEDMAS you do division before multiplication (i'm pretty sure). So then it'll be 6/2, then 3(3).
going from the fact that that is a trick to remembering which comes first, in dutch it says that × goes b4 /
i did it on paper and its 1. i thought it was 9 first. 6÷2(3) the () means u do the times first

its 9 if u use internet but 1 if u do it on paper

6÷2(3) just means 6/2*3
fine its both then
Rofl...primary school math ftw.

You mean the one that you can really make errors on? Also, I found out the multiplying and division are interchangeable. Therefore, according to the way math works, you go left to right. Do the math then, and tell me what you get.
the simple question is, that three, is it a three or a third. . 3 or 1/3 . there should be the answer.
The answer is 42.
42 is always the right answer^^
... or just say "because tree" - that's the ultimate answer for all questions :D
Who's the American President? - Because Tree - That's right, he is.
Sorry to be a Melvin, but...
