No real reason for going down the Intel route other than Quiet PC were selling a model called Serenity Ultimate Gamer i18 and it came with an Intel chip installed.  I figured I'd build one with similar spec' and source the parts separately.

This build has really helped up my game, it has propelled me from a crap player to a mediocre one in a short space of time.  It almost feels like I'm cheating  O:-) >:D O:-)
• Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

I got a test intel nuc i5-7260U with 24Gb and 640gpu.

When I start unreal it goes in chopper mode.
This compared with my "production PC" is a terrible game experience.

So I can imagine that your new system would and should make progress.  >:(

"mediocre" maybe, still better than me imho O:-)   :))
