Fantastic! looks like i know what i'll be looking for then. it's such a relief to see how much prices have fallen for GPUs recently. thanks very much! it will also be a lot of fun to run UT2004 with more modern luxuries like widescreen support.

You're very lucky! Mine was a necessary purchase for a work machine (gaming too!) and had to pay full whack right in the middle of the shortage :/

Running a 6600 8 gig here (couldn't really justify spending £600-£800 on a gpu - though I was very tempted) twice as powerful as my old ATi 570, as expected.
Ryzen 5 5600x here and the x570 chipset is really good noticeably better than my missus' board a couple of gens back. The m2 drives are stupidly quick, they're ace.
