Both the server and my home PC are using 5600x's. They're really nice CPU's.

oof that's rough :/ that's a beefy GPU for work! i saw that the prices had dropped a few months ago and almost pressed 'purchase' on a 3080 but stopped myself at the last second, lol.

that's a pretty sweet setup. i'm a newcomer to ryzen but i wanted to give it a try. my previous machine was godawful, a prebuilt sold to me under the guise of a 'gaming' machine. i'm excited to use m.2s in mine. my old PC had an HDD that was hideously slow.
