I've been working at it a bit, turns out x2 has completely replaced Windows Explorer without me noticing

If you mean the replacement as a bad thing, you should be able to undo it.
From X2 menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Undo Explorer replacement.

A Commandprompt button is useless because you also got this option in context menu by [Shift]+Rightclick.

I wish there were pixel fonts for 14+ pt.
You think that wouldn't make any sense, but I like to see pixels - it's a pretty design.
