Some software that we can use for monitoring gameservers on our desktops
GameTrayInfo: gTray sits quietly in your system tray and asks player count and map (either
automatically or by left-click on icon) from gameserver. Results are displayed
when you hover the icon in a tooltip and in a balloon popup, depending on settings.

Unlike others, this application looks like wallpaper but stays resident in memory and continues to update the display in real time. Uses very little memory and nearly zero cpu. http://www.glenn.delahoy.com/software/NOTE: It doesn't monitor gameservers by default, but it can monitor files. I wrote a script that logs server information to files which DesktopInfo will read. I think it's pretty l33t.
