 :-[ HIVE Nut,

I admit it. I am a KF-HIVE nut. I just can't get enough of the map. I revise it and re-revise it and revise it some more. But now, I am including a trader and a regular spawn points. So it will be possible to have a regular ending to the map. Even have a showdown with the big boss.

I added a trader at the dining hall/red queen offices.


Then I changed the ending. The player gets teleported to the Alice suspension room at the Racoon City hospital.

Below is a picture of the additions. The outside of Racoon City Hospital. Last part of KF-TheHive251Plus.


Added another feature in the mansion (Alice's place). After Alice and Matt (Max) escaped from the HIVE, they came back here. Then the people from Umbrella corps opened the door and took Alice and Matt forcibly to Racoon City hospital.


Finally, I added 2 more trader (a total of 3) in the map. One by red queen office section. Another by hallway after the sewer. And lastly at Racoon City hospital.

Nice, no surplus files.

But it doesn't load in the game.  The editor reports missing files.

Not sure what to say, since I've said most it all before several times.  Well 10 out of 10 for effort at least.  I'm not going to chase files.  All custom files should be included in your map's mylevel.

I suggest you leave huge sophisticated maps like Hive alone.   When Hamada finishes storymode, I'll fix it with respawns and whatever else.
Start with small, simple, straightforward maps, made by yourself.  Start with a box and add stuff to it.  As I've also offered several times if you need help, ask.

Okay. I shall give lots of effort to leave the map alone. But I won't promise anything. It's just that that map is so full of "episodes". Besides, MiA Gabriel seemed excited about it.

I can't get enough of the map myself. I know Snipe34 meant good by criticizing my revisions, but I just have to try different things with it. Kicker is such a talent (and so is Snipe34). BTW, for your information, I just found out the Scriptted Trigger for the timer in the game.

Below is the ST that kicker used to set the 35 minutes timer. It is located just after the steps leading to the Alexi5000 transport.



I made some changes to as to have the player go through the gate even though the timer has expired. Just insert a couple of lines after the last line in the Scriptted Trigger such as a WAITFORTIMER set for 1, and a DISPLAYMESSAGE set to *****URGENT NEWS**** ***THE HIVE IS REOPENING*****. Then add a trigger by the gate and name it returntomansion. Then add another scriptted trigger and set it to WAITFOREVENT - timerbegin. Add another line, WAITFOREVENT - returntomansion. Then add a WAITFORTIMER, set to 1. Then add one more line to open the gate, TRIGGEREVENT - loadingbaydoorhive1.

Useful if you never played the Hive.  Although I know that bit, it's beyond there I always have problems.  Jumping from the pipe to the ramp and then past there.   Got thru Hive once but following someone else and taking instructions.

Lowres vid a little freaky  ???
