Oh god, why? :(

Btw. you know what REALLY bugs me about UDK?
It kinda lacks a "location" property which I always used to edit the object's coordinates.
Now I can't place BSP brushes precisely anymore and I always get ugly transitions.
UDK freaking forces me to use the grid now.
Why do I hate this so much.

Watch or dl videos dude and get up to speed with modern technology  :D

Great, you gave me a couple of tutorial videos that don't help me with my problem at all.

Texturing models is still in progress and takes some time, but here some other news:
I have started making some generic textures.

They look nice!
I also made 2 textures but I made them with pictures... I'll try using GIMP.

@ Vanico: You can render the textures in GIMP (no templates required), but it can be a lot of work. Search for some texturing tutorials.

I tried making a sand-like gravel ground.

Looks a bit regular, but I think it will work. Great!

Since we need new resources we actually need more ordinary stuff like rocks, grass, asphalt and so on!

I'm currently working on the Brandenburger Tor. Does it really have to be an exact copy? There are some parts that are very hard to recreate (some mosaics and the top of the tor). I'm trying to do it as good as I can!

Also I'm focussing on the front site. On my survival map you won't be able to walk past the tor. The giant square behind it is way too big for this kind of gameplay.

Alpha pic:

The texture isn't final, I'll need one that looks dirtier... the statue and the mosaics will be made by N3cr0 so I couldn't include them yet.
Also my version is WAY too big. I'll resize it later. (That's also why you can't see one of the top parts because it's simply too huge.)
