« on: June 11, 2012, 03:05 »
My friends asked me to help them with their game (open world) I agreed to help with sound effects.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS RECOMMEND FOR RECORDING AUDIO AND EDITING SOFTWARE!!!

http://sequoia-audio.com/en/  This is the best - I think it comes with a free technician.

But if not the freebies.   Audacity.  Also, Wavosaur, very very easy to use.

  • Audacity is the default audio editor on most Linux distributions - easy to use, but not too much fancy stuff.
  • FL Studio (Fruity loops): Professional tool, expensive and not too easy to use, but it makes everything possible.
  • GIMP: The best free picture editor, professional, also default on most Linux systems. Best Use it if you don't have Photoshop.
  • Model editors: They are all complex (and professional)!
Best free tool is Blender. If you want expensive software, you can give Maya or (in some cases, depending on your game engine) Milkshape 3D a try.
