Discovery of a comet as fifteen moons shine in 2013
Russian astronomers discover a comet brighter than the moon and visit us in November of next year
Madrid (EP). - Russian astronomers have discovered a comet, according to estimates, will be up to fifteen times brighter than the moon when approaching Earth in November 2013. As experts have noted, still must negotiate their way closer to the Sun, but if not destroyed, will be visible from the planet next year.

The astronomer Leonid Elenin, NM Observatory ISON, explained that scientists and Artem Novivhonok Vitaly Newsky found the comet on 21 September and now the scientific community has confirmed the discovery.

The orbit of the comet, called 'C2012 ISON S1' was achieved by finding a previous registration done on 28 December 2011 and one from January 28, 2012, from the Mount Wilson Observatory (USA). With the three reports your position could be calculated with some certainty.

"They are one of the most spectacular views a human could hope to see - and next year a comet which could outshine the moon is due to fly by the Earth.

Comet ISON is visiting the inner solar system and is set to put on spectacular views for the Northern Hemisphere across November and December as it heads towards the sun.

It may prove to be brighter than any comet of the last century - visible even in broad daylight - and this may end up being its one and only trip to the solar system, as its trajectory may see it plunge into the sun in a fiery death."
