Not bad, but I don't appreciate how you covered my name. Maybe a "Mahlooeh & xS0NARx"?

So... you got bored with crashing machines with Nocturne.  Now you want to play with Sonar's map, even replacing his name on his meshes with yours?

I'd be bewildered but I've know you for a while so the shock kinda wears off.   I'm figuring 9.999/10 you'll break his map.  Why can't you realize you know swa about mapping - maybe you should learn?

Okay. I'll change it to what you mentioned.

UPDATE: How's this?

:ohno: To Snipe34,

I asked for Sonar's permission. He wanted to see what it will turn out, so I posted screenshots.

 :concentrated: Continuation,

Here is another picture of the immense gameplay you'll get from the (Sonar's revised) map. Lots of monsters.

Nice, so many spawns.
Could you also make some ramps?

 :hmm: To Sonar,

QuoteCould you also make some ramps?
If you like. I also added Mini-turret spawns. I am decreasing vehicles counts to three but making them respawnable.

Okay. Made the ramps. Not too fancy but workable.

Anymore request, O MASSA?!?

I hope that by "lots of monsters" you don't mean "the amount of lag to make this map equivalent to hive."

  To Medic_Jockgoma,

QuoteI hope that by "lots of monsters" you don't mean "the amount of lag to make this map equivalent to hive."
Amazingly enough, there is little lag in this map. Could it be because it's such a small map? And could it be because it's NOT THE HIVE?

I am almost done with it so you can judge for yourself as soon as I post the link.
Title: Re: To Sonar - Here Is The Preview Of Map...
Post by: Medic_Jockgoma9 on July 20, 2012, 19:47
I'm not judging anything I was just wondering if it would be laggy like hive is due to the mass amounts of zombies, I'm sorry if you took that as offensive I just wanted to know if it will be laggy.

I wasn't offended, you oaf! (Just kidding). I was just being sarcastic. BUt there is a big difference between THE HIVE and this map, which I am naming KF-DoomBowl, by the way. HIVE is a really huge map, this map is really small. And the monsters aren't zombies, they're DOOM3 monsters (big difference - they're not as angst as the zombies). And NOPE, it isn't going to be laggy.

Anyways, I am almost done. Just a few more test runs.

So I'm guessing that we will have to download some extra things aside from the map to be able to play it then?

Well...yup. But the other things aren't that much - Goeppinger's 2009Doom3 Monsters.

Sonar told me to let people know that this is his map. It is SONAR's original map which I revised with his permission.

Anyways, here are the instructions.

1. Download and install Goeppinger's DOOMMonsterPackV3 (also known as 2009DoomMonsterPack) - http://www.unreal.shaungoeppinger.com/mon2009doommonsterpack.html.
2. Edit your UT2004.ini file to include the code below:

[Editor.EditorEngine]
EditPackages=2009DoomMonsterPack

3. Unzip and extract map to Unreal Tournament 2004/KFMod20 folder. Download of KF-DoomBowl is - http://www.mediafire.com/?jbcn1cn8f4y5ytq.

Also I took a few screenshots that you might want to look at for HINTS on how to work the map's objectives.

One of the nine signs will appear at top of caves and by switches when a WAVE in started.

Switch in the cave.

Switch by doorstep (and park your car nearby so you won't get a ticket).

Be sure to press the switch when you go out at all times (because door opens several times).

When the Sawyers (Chainsaw gang) goes for your jugular or limbs, go on GODMODE!

Last man standing (Gun fight at OK Coral). It boiled down to my LAW against the CyberDemon. (Tuwi-yo, wi-yo. Nah, nah, nah - soundtrack from The Good, The Bad, and You).

Your screenshots look awful. Ever considered getting a "new" PC?

A computer needed for UT2004 doesn't have to cost anything, people give or throw away such low end machines these days.

  To MiA Raj,

Well, this is the story. I am using a DUAL monitor for my LAPTOP. It has got that outer port that you can plug an outside monitor on if you want to use a different one. The screen on my laptop is broke, so I don't have much choice. I am using a LOW END monitor but my computer has a higher resolution capability. Plus I have the resolution set on 800x600.

I installed the doom3 monsters mod and the map aswell as put the code into the correct area of my ut2004.ini. But when I go to host a game Doombowl wont appear on the map list. :/

to Medic_Jockgoma9,

Not to undermine your intelligence, but did you install the map at KFMod20 directory?

If not try opening the map with your KF Editor and BUILD ALL it  then SAVE it, and let me know what you get.

You only need to install the map in your KFMod20 directory. Now try and open the map with your editor and BUILD ALL the map. Then let me know what it says.

Check to see if you have KF-DoomBowl-04.ucl in your KFMod20/System folder? If not then copy and paste this on your KFMod20/System - http://www.mediafire.com/?xw6l83juuisptui.

Let me just suggest you to buy a real PC. Unreal Engine 2 doesn't need much power, so even the cheapest one should be able to handle it.

 :amazed-milk: To Medic_Jockgoma9,

I did another revision by deleting the KFGameRules from the map. This might solve the maplist problem. Try it and let me know - http://www.mediafire.com/?aim8r23a1fubffo.

Yay! I finally figured out what's keeping my maps from appearing in your MAPLIST, the KFGameLevelRules!

QuoteWhen I tried to launch it, it said "Failed to launch url: ut2004doommonsterpack"
You have the DOOM Monster Pack installed in your Unreal Tournament 2004 directory? Link is - http://www.unreal.shaungoeppinger.com/mon2009doommonsterpack.html.

NOTE: I will re-work the KF-Nocturne and KF-MonsterBrawl map so it'll appear in your MAPLIST. I'll post the download.

UPDATE: Got the changes made on KF-Nocturne for your MacOS, which I hope shows in your MAPLIST. Donwload is - http://www.mediafire.com/?mw5kk3h8fwbmdm8. And the download for KF-MonsterBrawl-WIP is - http://www.mediafire.com/?lwa4f9lcs55a4fp.

Let me know the results.

I've just decided to give up on getting the maps to work, my computer is rather old and is uncommon to use, it would probably be better if you pay more attention to the majority then one single thing.
