Cool N3cro I really like that? What brought you to this vid? Interest in circuit-bending, in old consoles or in experimental music?
Or all 3 of them?
Well, first of all: I would never rape a console like that. But anyway, I really like those old consoles and the sound. I have registered in a retrogaming forum (www.circuit-board.de) one month ago and recently, we have talked about circuit bending.
I think that old consoles /retro consoles got the best games.
I mean think of SNES and it's good old 'The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past'. [If you didn't play it you missed something]
It was for sure the best part of the series, well maybe not the best for all people out there but way better than the 2 for NDS.
I played all for now and I'm still a fan of the series...
BUT
I get OffTopic^^
Well I don't like all of Skrillex Songs but some are really cool.

IMO The best Zelda parts are "A Link to the Past", "Ocarina of Time"(both retro) and "Twilight Princess"
Well however, I've always been a fan of their old competitor SEGA. Sonic was one of my favorite games. (But Xenon 2: Megablast was the soundtrack of my early childhood^^)

techno ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh :p But! i like it a whole lot better than much current music which because the singers can't sing they're tech tuned. Their backing is also essentially teched up, so to me that makes it bad techno. In that sense I prefer olde techno.

They call the planet Earth "Tears, eye water"
They call the planet Earth "Fear, eye water"
Such a waste of clear eye water
Such a waste of real eye water
Noone uses energy savers
Car emissions kill ozon layers
Look at your life now
Little children say their prayers
but the grown-ups don't say theirs
Look at your life now
When they first went to the moon
beyond the moon didn't they see
there wasn't anything they couldn't do
there wasn't anything they couldn't be
They discovered nucleair power
not for the best but for the worst
Revelations warned you first
They call the planet Earth "Tears, eye water"
They call the planet Earth "Fear, eye water"
Such a waste of clear eye water
Such a waste of real eye water
First your living was so simple
there was no gas, oil or rentals
look at your life now
then technology would teach you
that it's robots replace people
look at your life now
See when they first went to the moon
Beyond the moon didn't they see
There wasn't anything they couldn't do
There wasn't anything they couldn't be
They discovered nucleair power
It burnt them far below their shirts
It got so hot it almost burst
They call the planet Earth "Tears, eye water"
Such a waste of fear, eye water
Such a waste of clear eye water
Such a waste of real eye water
All the Christians, Muslims, Jews
kill each other, they're so confused
Look at your life now
From light to dark, big to small
they didn't know God loved them all
Look at your life now
When they first went to the moon
beyond the moon didn't they see
there wasn't anything they couldn't do
there wasn't anything they couldn't be
They discovered nucleair power
As if to fullfill the dues they curse

Honest to god that's the first Rammstein song I've ever heard.
And I liked it.
I'm on the American rap these days, pretty good.
Been watching X-Files lately...
Here 's a Amon Amarth's live performance
lyrics:
As his life's blood leaving
I hold my son, my only son
And tears fill my burning eyes
While his skin turns pale as snow
Butchered he lies here bleeding in my arms
Slewn by the men of the single god
Hatred burns in my chest
Rain falls from a raging heaven
The wind howls like wolves at the moon
I will seek my vengeance for my son
I swear I'll avenge my first born one
I ride fast through the woods
My friends are by my side
Dark hatred burns in my eyes
"Slaves of hvitekrist today you die!"
"Maktiga gudar,
i gyllene slaen.
Hjalp mig i striden
mot sondraparna,
Den hoge skall
For huggen hamnas
och blod skall galdas
i blod"
Our cloaks fly in the wind
As we ride in the cold dark night
We're closing in our enemies
We rage in our hearts burning bright
The clouds scatter in the northern wind
A full moon rides the pitch black sky
"Now, hounds of Hvitekrist,
your time has come to die!"
"Kneel before my sword!
No mercy! Your time has come to die!
This is the ride for vengeance!"
.
This band only gets better.

Where are the clowns?
Where are the fools?
Who has stopped the laughter?
Where is the fun?
Where is the levity?
Where are the clowns in this world?
In this world?
Always on, always higher,
Our world travels carousel.
No time for real people
Friendship is today virtually
No time for silly games,
Because needs fun time and time is money
We are run over by progress
Where are the clowns in this world?
Where are the clowns?
Where are the fools?
Who has stopped the laughter?
Where is the fun?
Where is the levity?
Where are the clowns in this world?
In this world?
The arena is located in the shade
Fear comes to the big top
It lacks the color and laughter
Where are the clowns in this world?
Where are the clowns?
Where are the fools?
Who has stopped the laughter?
Where is the fun?
Where is the levity?
Where are the clowns in this world?
In this world?
Where are the clowns in this world?
Where are the clowns?
We need clowns in the world.

To be free
I don't need a crown,
no palace, no jewels,
wherever I am living,
every place is a home for me.
I am a thug,
but I am free,
this chalice,
passed me.
To be free... there's not much to do
Only who is free... is a king
shameless takes... the cheeky thief
because he is... the architect of his future
What the others dream of,
I'll take at night.
My walk is equal to a white wedding horse.
A fearless king,
guarded by mercenaries,
a vain god... in my heaven
To be free... there's not much to do
Only who is free... is a king
shameless takes... the cheeky thief
because he is... the architect of his future
One egg doesn't match... the other.
Quite a few have been betting.
The thug takes out seven... on a single strike.
You make your bed, you sleep in it.
To be free... there's not much to do
Only who is free... is a king
shameless takes... the cheeky thief
because he is... the architect of his future
If no one what posting .

music I listen to when I play zombie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zocpQDobD-0 >:(
Clothes are against God, we wear fig leaves
We swing on lianas over the Heinrichplatz
And the old tell stories of the urban fights
at the bbq in the ruins of the German bank
birds´ nest in a holey billboard
we´re seeking warmth from a burning German flag
and if someone is sleeping on a bench
it´s only because a girl is leaning on his arm
working three hours a day cause more´s not needed
tonight we make up names for the stars
thank this bomb ten years ago
and make love till the sun can see it
remember when we carved in the desks at school
"Lord, please don´t forgive them, because they know what they´re doing"
beneath the pavement the beach waits
if not with rap, then with the pump gun
And we´re singing in the nuclear bunker
Hurray this world is ending!
hurray this world is ending !
hurray this world is ending!
and we´re singing in the nuclear bunker
hurray this world is ending!
hurray this world is ending!
on the ruins the paradise
Take bow and arrow we´re catching a delicacy
there is no prison anymore, we´re grilling on the bars
burned McDonalds show off our heroic deeds
Since we chased Nestlé from the fields
apples taste of apple and tomatoes of tomato
and we´re cooking our meals in the soldiers´ helmets
You want to smoke a joint? Then pluck some from the garden
but our life today can be beared sober
come we drive a race with revolving chairs in the moss covered halls of the Reichstag
our doors don´t need to have locks, money became confetti and we´ve slept better
gold bars are the same as bricks to us
the fireplace goes out, throw another bible in there
the kids are scared cause I tell them of the pope
this life is so wonderfull who needs an after life
and we´re singing ....
the cattle´s grazing behaind us
we´re smoking ott, play tower
there where once the Potsdamer Platz was
when I wake up I caress your hair once more
Honey I´m going to work, will be back immediately
we´re getting up when we want to, go away when we want to
have sex how we want to and not how the church or porn tells us to
Baby the time with you was so wonderfull
yeah, now it´s sadly over
but our children don´t cry, cause we raise them all together
Remember when theywanted to extinguish the great fire?
This feeling as our passports melted in the flames?
they really thought their shit would last forerver
I show the kids monopoly but they don´t understand
"a hundred euro bill? what´s that suppossed to be;
why should I take something from you if we share everything?"
and we´re singing ....
Hmmm an Onkelz-fan :-\
I prefer 4Promille in this kind of genre.... ;)
But a nice cover here from jose gonzales:
I'm not Onkelz fan. But I must admit I grew up with this rock band. I hear everything what is rock music ^-^
Teardrop sounds better live:
Btw. For those of us who love synthwave.
Well, genres are a endless topic. Basically I listen the ones which derive from subgenres like new wave (synthpop, minimal wave) altogether with coldwave and post-punk due to their rock influences with ambient & downtempo elements (ambient, new age and chill out), there you have synthwave and vaporwave as the last one. Also main genres like blues, jazz, funk and soul (all of them combine so perfectly pleasant) that derive in afrobeat styles (Fela Kuti). Finally genres like the alternative ones (jangle pop(KINO), indie pop/rock), psychedelic/space rock, experimental, art rock/pop, classic, klautrock, Italo disco, trip hop, rap, liquid, the electronic main genre (YMO/Kraftwerk), nu jazz, stage & screen(also called easy listening or library music) and the last ones would be shoegaze, dream pop, witch/deep/french house, trance and nu disco in high school.
Rocktan since when is nightwish rock´n´roll? :P :D
That is Rock, Meteors:
But Jazz, Blues and alternative music is nice, too^^
I did not say that Nightwish is rock'n'roll !!!

Maybe I'm foolish, maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this and see what's behind
Got no way to prove it so maybe I'm blind
But I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Take a look in the mirror and what do you see
Do you see it clearer or are you deceived in what you believe
Cos I'm only human after all, you're only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
Don't ask my opinion, don't ask me to lie
Then beg for forgiveness for making you cry, making you cry
Cos I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me, don't put the blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
I'm only human I make mistakes
I'm only human that's all it takes to put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
I'm no prophet or messiah
Should go looking somewhere higher
I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me, don't put the blame on me
I'm only human I do what I can
I'm just a man, I do what I can
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

If not I then who
If not I then who
- Who will go through the fire?
If not I then who
- Who will count the stars?
If not I then who
- Who stands with you?
I steal the sun beam
- And I will be with you
I sunk deeply seated
Rummage deep into my head
Looking for reasons or signs
I long to return
Ravaged my heart beats
Eyes stare into the embers
Drag thoughts away from me
Do not see any light at the horizon
Trembling, I am overcome by cold
Hope turns into frost
Flames burn my senses
Every night sounds war cry
I feel the power run dry
My cries faded long ago
How long should I lie to myself
Please come and get me soon!
I sunk deeply seated
Write thoughts on paper
Tonight I close the jewel
Is it to float far away from me

entonces, no te preocupes, estaré bien mi amor! No habrá una nueva dictadura

A particular prayer in a particular church
In a particular style with a particular stuff
And for particular problems that aren't particularly tough,
And for particular people, preferably white
And for particular senses, preferably sight
A particular prayer in a particular spot
To a particular version of a particular god
And if you get that right, he just might
Take a break from giving babies malaria
And pop down to your local area
To fix the cataracts of your mum!

Try these on. Big fan of the tiny desk concerts - they've taken over from mtv unplugged for the intimate concert vibe.

I've been looking forward to hearing you play for over a decade. Thank you so much.
The man has sax appeal!
Are you recording that on a mobile phone?
I now want to hear what you sound like properly mixed from studio quality microphones.....
Wow... I'm impressed. Good stuff. Do you do sax for living or just a hobby?
Thanks guys! Thought it about time I shared some music.
Yes, just a mobile phone recording, been a very long time since I was in a studio - and over 15 years since I was an active musician. Practicing hard to ramp things up again though, hopeful I'll find some folk to play with soon. Jazz isn't very popular any more!
nyrde, I used to do it for a living, but these days I just practice at home alone. Played almost every day for the last 30+ years though.
What would it take to get you back into a studio? I'd sub it....
Do what others do with piano / guitar / violin. Play famous songs and Youtube it. heck, put a jazz tune to it :D
Good play tho. 8)

Need to find some musicians close enough to rehearse with, and who like similar music. Since I left Brighton I seem to be in a cultural wasteland!
I'll work on it as lockdown eases and musicians are allowed to contaminate society again!

Nice improv work over Giant Steps ^-^ From what I understand it's something of a rite of passage for jazz musicians.
If you ever do a cover of any song from the Burning for Buddy tribute album I'd love to hear it! No Jive and Pick Up the Pieces are my personal faves O:-)
Thanks Wife, yes Giant Steps takes a lot of learning, one day I'll get it right :D
I used to play Pick Up the Pieces with an orchestra in Italy, but not really my bag as far as improvisational music goes, though I do like to listen to Buddy occasionally. Maybe I'll have a go at it with my son when he next visits (also a saxophonist).

Tour de France (Etape 1) (2009 Remaster)
Maybe this has been posted here before (could not find it), but some BRITS singing
Beauty in chaos! Fantastic stuff!
FORWARD!!!!! Tight as hell!
The most Finnish song ever!
"I have dwelled in the dark
So long that I have become the night
Here only the chilling Northwind
Can give warmth to my life
There comes the morning light and brings the pain
...slashing my heart
It goes by slowly and makes the pain last forever
...it tears me apart
"
These lyrics speak to me on a personal level... ah...
Nice choice Nyrde - I've got some Anaal Nathrakh in my collection :)
Like forward - good track :)

Nyrde's guide for purchasing BM albums:
- is the cover black and white?
- is there tits?
- is there satanistic symbols like pentagram and/or a goat?
- are the song titles controversial and/or evil?
points = 1, don't buy. Most likely posers.
points = 2, maybe buy... but don't tell anyone.
points = 3, is OK to buy. It's advisable to feel out the "mood" before mentioning it to anyone.
points = 4, MUST BUY. Not doing so will result in infinite shame. Also, you must bring it up in all your future conversations and refer to people not having it as wannabes or posers.
I know what you are thinking... "Hey Nyrde... what about the music?". You still don't get it, do you? You see it's a classical poser argument that quality of music should be judged by the quality of music. You poser.

Isn't Emperor some kinda mainstream pop band?
And just to point out... that is actually 0 points. And that is not listed and we all know that life, universe and everything is a circle so it's 5 points. Actually I think all emperor albums are 5 points. Except prometheus.... which is 1 point.
And before anymore "If that is true, then what about Darkthrone bla blaa bla blaa" comments arrive. It was a joke... not a very good one apparently but a joke anyway. I don't actually judge my BM albums by that system.
Happy new year everyone!!!

Would have been better if they'd been playing those instruments
I don't know if it's a straight live recording as the mix is very tight, but I am pretty sure the sound is really coming from those instruments. If you look at their other videos that's their thing - they are very creative. They've been around for 10 years, tour constantly and play live so I doubt it's all faked. Instruments aside it helps she also has an amazing voice.

The track is as old as a mammoth, I don't know how it is perceived now. Author from Russia by the way
:) Deep in thought, not sure metal helps, but hey, Tune! :)

Last night Jozz, Hagis and I went to a performance by some pretty brilliant musicians - the lead man was an old friend of Jozz's who was switching between four different size sax, melodica and a variety of bells, whistles and other noise-making paraphanalia.
This is their album on Spotify, if you're interested. I have to say they were significantly better live than on this recording : https://open.spotify.com/album/5HcHhiucbsPv7BM2srT53S - there was an energy live that you don't get with this.

Agreed. Shakira's music usually has a nice south American tempo beat.

Great choice Stealer, I'm a sucker for songs with a story, Boy named Sue (Mr. Cash), 15 Tons (Tennessee Ernie Ford), Ernie (Benny Hill) etc :)
I'll gonna check more of their stuff later on Spotify.
It reminded me of Primus - My name is mud, with the excellent bassist Les Claypool.
Primus also composed the South Park theme tune.
Whil on the subject of Primus, why not check out Wynona's big brown beaver!!!
Nice one Grim, you posted some of my fave tracks, I quite like primus. I've got a few music lists on spotify if you have spotify?
I'm just eclectic with music, love stuff from nearly every genre, find music that fits my forever changing mood :)

That's creepy. I'd be expecting Pennywise to appear at any moment.
In the name of Zyzz and Chestbrah, this piece of art got me into workout everyday (since january 2k24), that's also the reason why i'm coming less and less often to terminate you on the freon and warfare servers :) Cut down on fatty food, quit smoking and drinking, eventually drop some weight ('bout 10 kilos in 2 months !) yet it's still a long way up for me to look somewhat aesthetic...
Not Unacceptable!

Government and queen are your only enemies
Don't be fooled by their plastic smiles
War's no fairytale,
Guns and bombs aren't f'ing toys
They don't wanna know your views of war
They never stop to think about you
War's no fairytale,
Guns and bombs aren't f'ing toys
They want you kept in the darkness of the realities of war
War's no fairytale,
Guns and bombs aren't f'ing toys
Meat flung yards apart from bodies
Are typical sights of war
War's no fairytale,
Guns and bombs aren't f'ing toys

That's brilliant duke the beer song - reminds me of when I was a full blown alky! Not that I remember that much, just the odd moment of clarity in the 2000s :)

MacLean & MacLean, very funny comedians who never really had much of an impact outside Canadialand.
Their albums, Bitter Reality & Suck Their Way To The Top (Take The 'O' Out Of Country) were constantly on my cheap tape deck back in the '70's & '80's.
