It works and makes ut2k4 outstanding but...there is some kind of problem with depth buffer, ray tracing shader does work only while you're in spec mode (I've tried it myself just like the guy on video), maybe game uses multiple depth buffers lol

Have you added to Freon? Either my eyes are deceiving me or it looks all sexy.

I wanted to try Reshade

found this
https://www.moddb.com/mods/ut2004-reshade

dl this
https://reshade.me/
... its an .exe file, I want .zip etc to see all files

supports
"ReShade supports all of Direct3D 9, Direct3D 10, Direct3D 11, Direct3D 12, OpenGL and Vulkan.
A computer with Windows 7 SP1, 8.1 or 10 and .NET Framework 4.5 or higher installed is required."

well, im still on my Windows XP and it only supports .NET Framework 3.5 or something

but others can try it and someday I will multiboot to my Windows 8.1 SSD

btw many years ago I tried some Crysis and a mod that changed alot of how it was rendered but nah I prefer org.

Hey Piglet could you implement a more realistic water rendering in UT?

Is a Realistic Water Bubble Simulation Possible?

This looks amazing, please give it a go, you smart programmers can implement it in no time.

Have installed and tested reshade. Although it does make the screen more interesting but it SEVERELY impacted the FPS (in my case down to approx 35fps as it fluctuates but usually around that figure)

A zip file of Reshade can be download from Github and here is the link:

My town had a power outage today, 30 min, so I tried to multiboot Windows 8.1 , need to cold boot computer as my raid 1+0 otherwise has to rebuild, anyway it started.
I havent tried it 9 months or more so all automatic updates when crazy, antivirus could update etc, but I fixed it eventually etc etc. after 30 min the computer froze had to power off and do 15 min cold boot again but now its okay at 3 hour 15 min uptime (but had graphicsdriver stopped working 1 time but its ok now) I have the Samsung SSD that needs special care, it does a overwrite of all to maintain integrity, dont know if that works in Windows XP, anyway its done and maybe later I can try UT2004 again.

PS In Windows 8.1 Im always end up looking at the taskbar for stuff thats going on in the background, antivirus gone bad etc, and I heard some noise which that sounded like it came from the raid but not much Disk in taskbar at all, hmm weird, but when I went to the kitchen water was running/dripping in the sink, lol, turned it off and all quiet again.

It would be nice to try Reshade and see all cool effects.

The readme.md will open in both Notepad.exe and Windows Wordpad.exe however, Wordpad display the texts in the correct format.  Don't know if Write.exe will work as I dont have Write.exe with W7.

I tried to open it in Notepad first and it looked terrible, what a mess, lol
Havnt used Wordpad for windows 8.1 in years but it looked much better.
That said it looks too nerdy I wont mess with this.
