I am by no means a bunny hopper, but IMO it’s super easy to get up there, just jumping while the elevator is going up.

I generally don’t like Sup’s favorite maps (TDI City, anyone?) but if people vote for a map, why should it be removed?

Also, Sup, that video is frickin’ brilliant. Major props, well done. I laughed so hard.

There was some argument in the admin group about maps and people got upset. I didn't really understand why it was such a big deal.

My take on it is unchanged:  A few less vehicle-heavy/non-vehicle maps are fine. If there's enough people who want to vote for them then they'll get played. If not...they won't. I added it back in this morning.

Personally I loathe Assault. If people want to play it...well...they can...

Magnet was reactivated today
To the surprise of 0 people it was a success as always
As soon as magnet started being played 8 more players joined (including me)
0 complaints
btw I failed many times trying to get up there, It's not as easy as it seems against a good defense

That will be a challenge with 2 times 100 health keg  O:-)

If it is even possible:
Every 5 minutes a deemer and and auto return zone  >:D

But really, it is a bit the the same like the shed in Harobed or the room in Barn. With the difference that not anyone can reach it.

My thought is that these original maps (just like collateral) are just fine. all in all it can take what? 15-20 minutes?
That is only when someone goes up with the flag and decides to stay there.
I my memory serves me well, a "normal" game does not go to the end.

Originality is my preference, small adjustments... ok, new objects/vehicles are not in favor in my opinion.
Especially when I think about the fact that these maps have sometimes existed for 15-20 years.

A lot of People play Unreal because of that: You know what you get.

As an example the Omni server: "look what the done to my song MA"
They changed almost all the maps (with those new and to powerful crazy vehicles)
Result: I'm not playing there.

I (again personally) am also in favor of adding a second version and seeing which one is preferred, data will prove this!

This is a serious suggestion :  You have some good ideas. Why not take up mapping. You could help with map tweaks (or even new ones).

Basically all you need to do is to disable your graphics driver when using unrealed, and work through the book: "Mastering Unreal Technology: The Art of Level Design" by  Jason Busby; Zak Parrish; Joel Van Eenwyk

UE2SelectionFixes has been out for a couple months now and fixes a lot of issues on newer versions of Windows.

It just needs a killzone up there and all will be good.

Depending on the definitions of "killzone" and "up there" this could be done in 15 seconds with a PhysicsVolume.

Yeah. Thing is the area is a big feature of the map.

In the end I made a couple of very small changes to the map that mean that more people can get up there. Not just the trials players or those otherwise good at trick-jumping etc
