OK - try it now - there's a trial Tanks game type to vote in.

Features:

1) Low Grav
2) Avrils boost - but differently. You get more boost the closer you are to your core (up to three times more)
3) Link Grapples - but differently.  Secondary is super-lethal to enemy tanks.

This was something I knocked up in a little while after lunch. If nothing else....it's different.

What would make it better?

I think, maybe node 3 and 5 should be connected with each other so game would be more intense and faster

Very silly - but also quite fun...

There's too much kick for a map like Primeval. I'll have a ponder overnight how best to scale it.

We are going to have to try primeval later... I think it's going to work better than yesterday as the kick-back has now been scaled to the map size

Hi piglet,

I used to set low grav at -280 and  x1.2 gamespeed for tanks maps a while ago

The gravity is actually OP and makes tanks useless because players are more powerfull than a squad of raptors.

Imo, tanks must be affected by low grav  and their tuuret should rotat faster.
You shoould also make avril lock on flying players  and add sniper rifles on every weapon lockers.

I do like the idea of Avrils locking on to flying players. How would they break that lock?

Upped the gravity (and made everything configurable through webadmin)

New gravity = 0.4 of normal. It was 0.2 - which was too little.

Hopefully not broken anything

Interesting idea!
If you use shield, you can't be locked  ;D
And you can shoot Avril missiles, it wont be difficult.

I had a look. Avrils locking on players isn't achievable with the amount of effort I'm willing to invest! It's built around Vehicles and notifying the player controlling the vehicle.

hey, dont know if it is usefull, but there was a ballistic weapon mod in where the bazooka can be aimed and fixed to a player, so the "bullet" cross the sky and fell into his/her head, lol i know is kinda shit info cause i dont know mod's name.....but maybe someone knows it

Remember that we are limited to server-side modification only. Anything that needs client side code (most mods need this) would break demo client compatibility
