Server state and donations to help keep things running.

I'd like to do a big thank you to the players who risked their money donating to the game server account in the knowledge that it might be lost.

The good news is that the hosting system did reactivate the server, and enough was donated to keep it running for a year at the current bill rate. We now have full access to the server hosting system and can monitor donations and payments to the host made from them.

In order of donation time after mine at the weekend, thanks to MaD[skunk], hagis, arbok, [RMD]JoeMillionaire, Pjanno, KOT, kops, Flenser, adghost, BGA h-duke, psina, Prozack.PL and Nardaq

The next thing we need to pay for is the domain name and forum. That isn't urgent, but is coming up in April.

For information, money donated using the link at the bottom of the page can only be used to pay for the game server and cannot be used to pay for the forum/game admin monitor box

Hi Hugs,

There is a discrete donations button at the bottom of the page.

All bills are currently in USD, so it's best to use the "Donate in US Dollars" donation link there.

The only things we've spent donated funds on so far are:

1. Domain registration fees
2. Web Hosting here at HawkHost - and I have to say they've been really good hosts.
3. Game server hosting at NFOServers, and again they've been really helpful.


We may want to spend some cash on testing out more powerful servers. We don't have enough in the kitty for this yet. Nor do we know whether it's going to be successful. We don't know if the limitation is due to the CPU or the game server & maps we're playing on it.
